Temptation

In attempts to rid myself of temptation and save myself a lot frustration (woah that rhymed), I'm trying to switch foreign languages after this schoolyear, as I have already thoroughly mentioned in my other blog. What's the point in getting more and more frustrated to the point where you explode in your next class? Well, I decided, there's no point. Hopefully steering myself away from temptation will pay off next schoolyear. :D

Universal Health Care

The issue of universal health care has come to mind. I've researched about it a bit and overall it seems like a pretty nice thing system. What are your opinions about it and why the U.S. does not comply with having such a thing? Comments are greatly appreciated :D

Absolute Truths

Scenario: Side A thinks that they are justified in invading Side B because they were attacked. Side B thinks they were justified in attacking Side A.
So who's right? THAT'S THE PROBLEM. Both sides think they are right and justified in doing such and such, and what comes out of it? A massive war. People, it does not take some mega genius to figure this out. If a sleep deprvied 14 year old can do it then anyone can.
I believe that absolute truths exist in this world. What are they? They are like universal guidelines. We live in a world where people do what they think is right; what's right for you isn't whats right for me. For many things in this world there exists an absolute truth:With the exception of some very special cases, killing is not right. Think of the Ten Commandments. They are a set of guidelines not for some people to live by, it was for everyone. Today we have to much of: Well in this situation it is ok for us to invade this country, but in this situation it wasn't ok for this country to attack us. DON'T MAKE TRUTHS CONFORM TO YOUR BELIEFS, BASE YOUR IDEAS OFF ABSOLUTE TRUTHS.

All or Nothing

I sort of touched on this in a comment on What Do You Believe, but I was asked to make a post about this due to its prevalence and importance. If you call yourself Christian, you can't say, "Oh well I sort of believe..." YOU CAN'T HALF BELIEVE! I know for a fact this is not only in Christianity, but for many other religions, and even just beliefs in certain topics in general, half believing makes no sense, does nothing for you, and truthfully, I think it makes you look bad. Thusly, I cannot say I'm sort of Christian, I'm either a fully devoted, solid of faith Christian, or I'm not. For example: We have so many people in this country who say they are Christian, but come judgment day, can they honestly proclaim that they truly believe and truly accept Jesus Christ and live their life for a higher cause?
People be whether you are strong with your beliefs or not, remember, there is no use in pretending.

Hatred

The word hate (along with many other words today) is used too lightly. If something is not in agreement with what you believe, you cannot just make fun of it, say: I hate this or that. As a Christian, I believe that sin is the utmost evil, and whether I agree with something or not, I can't just label people: dumb _____, stupid _____, etc. etc. By doing such, you commit a sin. People who "attack" others (verbally, physically) because they believe that certain belief or action is wrong is committing a wrong themselves. Believing your belief is the best does not give you authority to express others' in an inferior way. We are all people, we all have feelings, morals and consciences(I hope). Next time you think about saying: I hate this, or stupid ____, look at the situation from a different perspective examine the impact of your words.

What do You Believe?

I want to ask the readers of this blog what they believe in and why, just to learn about other beliefs. Your input is appreciated!

Things that really bother me...part 3

Wow I finished my homework before midnight. Amazing.
Anyways, another of the numerous things that bother me is when people say God, heaven, or h*** really lightly. People just normally say Oh my God or what the h*** or go to h***. THESE WORDS ARE NOT TO BE USED LIGHTLY. You don't use the name of the master of creation lightly, and the magnitude of condemning someone to h*** is ginormous! I mean, we as humans cannot begin to imagine the splendor of heaven or the pain and suffering in h***. To condemn someone to h*** is committing a terrible sin. Why do people do it? Do they not realize the true meaning of these words, or do they not care (which is REALLY BAD) and just say it? I just keep wondering: why do people do and say such things?
Please comment and share any thoughts about this post and other posts.

Things that really bother me...part 2

Yet another thing that really bothers me(there are many in this strange world).
Christmas.
Christmas is a Christian holiday. It is not about some fat old guy with reindeer racing around the world delivering presents. It is not, oooo presents! It is celebrating the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. And there are random atheists and other people defacing Christmas. It is a religious holiday. Just as I am not celebrating Rosh Hashanah, non-Christians need to remember that Christmas is a Christian celebration.

Things that really bother me...

As you can tell from the title, I will be talking about things that bother me. People these days incorporate many religious aspects into their lives and de-religionize it(is that even a word?). For instance. When someone sneezes, people just say blesshuu or some other smooshed random word. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD IT WAS ORIGINALLY GOD BLESS YOU AND SOMEONE GOT LAZY, SHORTENED IT, AND TOOK ALL THE MEANING OUT OF IT, AND YES IT SHOULD IMPLY SOME DEEPER MEANING THAN BLESSHUU. GET IT RIGHT PEOPLES!

What to believe?

There are so many different ideas and theories in this world, its hard to know what to believe. People will turn any way that there seems to be an answer. Aliens, scientology "it's whatever you want it to be, whatever feels good to you is right". urrg I hear so much of that now that it isn't even funny anymore. However, through all this, Christianity has survived and prevailed, still challenged but not defeated. When you have one guy saying we developed from a "big bang" and a cell and that somehow got somewhere versus someone saying that there is a higher power that is the master of all creation, who's easier to believe? Personally I think Charles Darwin was a little sleep deprived when he thought of his theory of evolution. If it was true, why aren't cats dogs and why aren't all monkeys people and why aren't people some other crazy species?

Religion

Where has faith gone these days? Why do people insist on attacking religion yet putting all their faith in far-fetched and ever changing scientific beliefs? I want to find out the answers to these questions. Personally I am a Christian and believes in God, because out of all the crazy beliefs out there in this wacky world, that is what makes the most sense to me. However, that is just me. This blog is for people to comment on their views, and I look forward to talking to people about faith and life and stuff :D
